Acclaimed for his intense and engaging performances, Nik Sheva is an Italo‑Ukrainian neoclassical pianist and composer who transforms each concert into a powerful and intimate emotional journey. His music, deeply personal and cinematic, bridges the elegance of classical tradition with the expressive force of a contemporary artistic voice. Blending romanticism, nostalgia, and intensity, Nik forges an authentic and immediate connection with his audience, guiding them through a sonic world that leaves a lasting impression.
In recent years, Nik has brought his music to prestigious international festivals and iconic stages: Piano City Milano, Palermo, Pordenone, PianoLab Puglia, concerts in Poland, and more than ten performances in London, including the Purcell Room at the Southbank Centre. He won the Piano Day competition at the Shoreditch Treehouse, performing as a headliner in the same venue, and has taken part in numerous benefit concerts at the London Ukrainian Centre.
Nik had a natural inclination for music from a young age, often using whatever objects he could find, like pots and pans, to play drums. It wasn’t until he moved to Italy that he began formal piano lessons at the age of 13, later continuing his studies at the Conservatory of Vicenza, where he developed his classical skills. During this time, he also started composing in secret, creating original pieces that would lay the foundation for his future work.
In February 2024, he released the album Calm in a Storm, seven original tracks exploring themes of identity and nostalgia. His 2024 EP includes longer pieces like Turbolentia, demonstrating his ability to create expansive works. The live album captures the spontaneity of his performances. In 2025, the singles Butterflies and Origins explore themes of transformation and cultural roots, further solidifying his diverse approach within the genre.
