Nik Sheva is a Ukrainian-born neoclassical pianist and composer, known for his emotive and deeply personal music that bridges the gap between tradition and modernity. From a young age, Nik showed a natural curiosity for music, turning everyday objects into his stage and drawing inspiration from his grandad’s accordion performances. His formal journey began when he touched a keyboard for the first time at his mother’s workplace, sparking a passion that led him to study at the conservatory.
Although conservatory life demanded rigorous practice and discipline, Nik often found himself composing in secret, laying the foundation for his unique voice as an artist. After four years of study, his path began to shift as he explored programming and game development, eventually moving to London, where his creative journey took a new turn.
It wasn’t until he began working that Nik could afford a small keyboard, which rekindled his love for music and brought life to his first compositions, such as Raindrops and Illusions. Deeply influenced by classical greats like Chopin and contemporary composers like Giovanni Allevi, Nik’s music resonates with romanticism, longing, and raw emotion. Over time, his style has evolved, reflecting both his life experiences and a newfound optimism and resilience.
Each composition in this collection is a testament to Nik’s journey—a heartfelt expression of moments, emotions, and growth that inspire his melodies.
